It’s definitely a journey. Not an end in itself.
I just ran across an article in Darwin Magazine named The TAO of ROI. This is a must read for people calculating ROI for new IT investments.
It covers some of the pitfalls of calculating ROI, and Do’s and Don’ts. The quote above, really sums up the reality of what ROI should be, versus how it most frequently is used.
